10.52. File-4.17 N32 Libraries

The File package contains a utility for determining the type of a given file or files.

10.52.1. Installation of File

This patch updates config.guess and config.sub for MIPS processors:

patch -Np1 -i ../file-4.17-config_update-1.patch

Prepare File for compilation:

CC="gcc ${BUILDN32}" ./configure --prefix=/usr \
   --libdir=/usr/lib32

Compile the package:

make

This package does not come with a test suite.

Install the package:

make install
